Switching careers at a fine-like-wine age is no easy task, especially when the prospective field is unrelated to your formal education or work experience. After years of remaining persistent, I’ve finally been blessed with the opportunity to do some Brand writing. The Digital Media company in which I work as an Accountant has finally given me the green light on joining their Media department. Talk about blessed! After being told NO a year and a half ago due to a lack of credentials, I’ve managed to build my portfolio and ultimately get that YES. I’ve interned, I’ve freelanced, I've networked and yes, it was all worth it... Your girl is an official, PAID, writer! I am on my way. Bye-bye Finance, hello Media. My foot is in the building!
